John Fullerton
Chief Executive Officer

John Fullerton was appointed chief executive officer of FreightLink in September 2004. 

He was formally divisional general manager (operations services) at Pacific National, Australia’s largest private rail operator. Prior to that he was the chief operating officer of the National Rail Corporation, a role he held for eight years before Pacific National’s acquisition of the business in February 2002. John Fullerton’s experience in the railway industry spans more than 20 years across strategic planning, business development, customer service, operations and engineering.

He is currently chairman of the CRC for Rail Innovation, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Logistics Council. John has a degree in Electrical Engineering

Paul Astley
Chief Financial Officer

A Fellow of the Australian Society for Certified Practising Accountants, Paul Astley has held senior finance and accounting positions in Australia and the United States. He was a member of the senior management team of global pharmaceutical company Faulding, and managed the finance and accounting of the group’s United States operations during a period of high growth and significant change.

 

Tony Aldridge 
General Manager - Business Operations 

Tony Aldridge has more than 30 years’ experience in transport logistics, covering the full spectrum of rail freight business activities, the majority at senior executive level. This includes for intermodal, shipping industry, bulk and mining industry freight. He has managed the development and implementation of transport service design models, which have positively changed the way in which rail has served traditional freight markets. He has built his reputation on the highest safety standards, a focus on service quality and improving operational productivity.

Vanessa Loughlin 
Corporate Manager

Vanessa Loughlin has close to 10 years experience, starting with National Rail Corporation in 2000 and remaining with the company through its acquisition by Pacific National in 2002.

Vanessa joined FreightLink in December 2003, and has been involved in numerous areas of the business. They include the intermodal and industrial divisions where she has been involved in modelling, budgeting and analysing train operations and the amalgamation of FreightCorp and National Rail reporting systems and budgets following the Pacific National acquisition.
